Dr Paul Hardisty is the Director of the CSIRO National Climate Adaptation Research Flagship which aims to equip Australia with practical and effective adaptation options to climate change and variability.
Previously, Paul was Global Director of EcoNomicsTM and Sustainability at the international engineering services company WorleyParsons. He has more than 20 years experience in the environmental and sustainability fields, with recognised global expertise in the resources and industrial sectors and advising corporations and governments.
Paul holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Imperial College, University of London, and has been a visiting Professor in Environmental Engineering at the College since 1999. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Western Australia School of Business, where he teaches sustainability and climate change to MBA students, and is a Director of Green Cross Australia, an NGO dedicated to helping empower resilient communities.
Paul has a strong scientific publication record and has published two books, most recently, Environmental and Economic Sustainability. He lives in Perth with his wife and two sons, and for fun competes in Ironman triathlons.
