Agribusiness Consultant, Rural Directions Pty Ltd, and President of South Australian Agricultural Shows Next Generation Group. Taryn Mangelsdorf comes from an irrigated fruit property in Loxton, in the Riverland along the River Murray. She has worked as an Environmental Scientist and project officer for the State Government and currently is an Agribusiness Consultant for Rural Directions Pty Ltd, based in Clare, South Australia. Taryn is currently associated to the land through her boyfriend Andrew and his family’s farm in the Clare Valley; a mixed farming enterprise consisting of cropping, predominately wheat, canola and barley, along with a sheep breeding flock of 1600 Ewes. Furthermore, one of the farm’s properties houses four wind turbines as part of the Spalding wind farm. Taryn is one of the youngest current members on the Executive Board of both the Agricultural Societies Council of South Australia, and Federal Council of Agricultural Societies. Taryn is the State President of the South Australian Agricultural Shows Next Generation Group.
